I love the phrase, “with wild abandon”. It just sounds seductive and free. Not to mention, it is a wonderful way to live a life. Or at least, one would assume it is a wonderfully free way to live.
I live with little moments of “wild abandon”. Playing in the rain………..jumping in the fountain……..dancing on the bar…….riding the mechanical bull……….setting off on a last minute adventure………sex(don’t even pretend you didn’t see that coming)………
I find when I do something “with wild abandon”, the entire experience is more pleasurable. Lately, I find less “wild abandon” in my life and more “calm control”. Seriously.Not.Enjoying.Life.As.Much.
So, I have set a goal for myself. I am going to do at least 2 things “with wild abandon” this weekend. If all goes well, you won’t be able to see pix. 😉 If not, maybe I will share my escapades with you next week.
It’s Friday, I challenge all of you to do something “with wild abandon” this weekend.
PS: It’s National Donut Day…Do not, I repeat, DO NOT eat donuts with wild abandon.
PPS: It has been bugging me that abandon sounds so incredibly appealing, yet by adding -ed as a suffix, suddenly the word becomes a devestating descriptor.
